Doctor of Medicine | Hospitalist Location: Clarksburg, WV Employer: Wellhart, LLC Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 192 Days Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician in West Virginia for a 192-day locum tenens assignment starting on Dec 15, 2025. This role involves shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Saturday, providing care in hospital settings. Job Details Location: West Virginia Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: Dec 15, 2025 LOA: 192 days Provider Type Needed: Hospitalist Physician Schedule: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday-Saturday Responsibilities and Duties Admit and manage all aspects of care for hospitalized medical patients Perform admission duties including history and physical examinations Evaluate and treat patients, order and interpret diagnostic studies Discuss end-of-life preferences and advanced care planning Consult with sub-specialists and coordinate care with primary care physicians Manage discharge processes ensuring appropriate follow-up Provide care to patients in critical/acute care settings Perform procedures such as abscess incision and drainage, thoracentesis, and lumbar puncture Additional Information Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
