Milacron is looking for a Hydraulics Engineer to join our team in Batavia, Ohio. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating hydraulic systems for new and existing Milacron products. As part of the Electrical & Hydraulic Engineering team, you will ensure hydraulic systems meet customer specifications, regulatory standards, and machine performance requirements from concept through production. Work You'll Do: Develop hydraulic system designs to meet customer specifications and machine performance requirements. Own hydraulic system designs and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Create, check, and maintain hydraulic schematics, engineering specifications, drawings, and records of change. Use hydraulic analysis and simulation tools to create and validate hydraulic circuits and support testing of new and existing products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, purchasing, service, and sales) to resolve design issues, support production, and implement product improvements and cost reduction initiatives. Qualifications: Must Have: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment design and manufacturing, including hydraulic system design. Experience creating and maintaining complex hydraulic schematics and validating hydraulic circuits. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis. Proficiency with 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate across multiple levels of the organization. Ability to work in the United States. Nice to Have: Experience with hydraulically controlled equipment such as injection molding machines or power units. Experience using simulation software such as Automation Studio. Certified Fluid Power Specialist (CFPS), Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist (CFPHS), or Certified Fluid Power Engineer (CFPE). Project management experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with AutoCAD and ERP systems (Oracle preferred). Familiarity with electro-hydraulic systems and industry standards research/gap analysis.
