Join a dedicated healthcare team serving a regional community in the Midwest. This part-time role as an Appointment Coordinator involves scheduling patient visits, supporting training efforts, and maintaining accurate contact records. You will play a key role in enhancing patient satisfaction and loyalty through excellent customer service and effective communication. Key Responsibilities Manage patient appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure timely care access. Assist the operations manager with onboarding and mentoring new call center staff. Maintain and update patient contact information and appointment records. Address patient inquiries and concerns with patience and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary. Support call center operations to increase appointment volume and improve patient experience. Keep office equipment operational by following procedures and reporting malfunctions. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred candidates will have completed an accredited medical receptionist or related program, or possess two years of experience in healthcare or customer service. Experience At least two years of experience in a medical office or call center environment is required. Clinic experience is a plus. Certifications Medical secretary or other medical technician/specialist certification from an accredited program is preferred. Skills and Requirements Strong oral communication skills and ability to handle detailed information. Comfortable working in a busy call center environment with distractions. Proficient computer skills and minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute. Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling preferred. Ability to lift and transport items up to 10 pounds occasionally. Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle safely.
