Description Conduct evaluations to assess pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through both standardized assessments and observational techniques. Craft tailored treatment plans that consider immediate objectives and long-term communication or swallowing needs. Engage in one-on-one therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, ensuring an integrated approach to care. Provide education for patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical encounters. Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to guarantee seamless care throughout the treatment process. Document patient interactions and treatments promptly, in accordance with all state, federal, and organizational standards. Remain up-to-date on advancements in the field via continuous education and peer collaboration. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet possessing ASHA certification. Certifications Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal communication abilities to engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams alike. Competence in modifying therapy approaches to accommodate a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong analytical skills and effective problem-solving capabilities.
