General Job Description KEP a division of IES Residential is currently seeking an Electrical Foreman.Position Summary The Electrical Foreman plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of the company. This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of craft workers engaged in the layout, installation, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. A successful Foreman leads by example, motivates their crew, and fosters a culture of ownership, accountability, and pride in achieving company goals while delivering high-quality electrical installations in multi-family residential projects. Key Responsibilities Oversee electrical projects in multi-family residential construction. Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers in accordance with engineers' specifications and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders for assigned areas of supervision. Maintain effective working relationships with subcontractors, division managers, inspectors, and other skilled trades. Analyze and resolve work problems efficiently to maintain productivity and schedule. Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and standards at all times. Identify, correct, or promptly report potential job site hazards. Assess material, equipment, and labor needs to ensure projects stay on schedule. Ensure all required materials and equipment are ordered and available onsite per project timelines. Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other stakeholders. Take direction from supervisors and provide clear, understandable direction to crew members. Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment. Minimum Education High School Minimum Years of Experience 2-4 Specific Qualifications Qualifications Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Electrical Foreman in multi-family construction. Strong working knowledge of the current National Electrical Code (NEC). Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to accurately interpret construction electrical drawings and specifications. Valid driver's license. Must be able to pass and comply with all safety training requirements, background checks, and drug testing. Proven leadership and team supervision skills. Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier materials with assistance. Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and elevated platforms. Manual dexterity to operate hand and power tools. Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity. Adequate vision (corrected if necessary) to read drawings and perform detailed electrical work. Work Environment Construction job sites in multi-family residential settings. Exposure to typical construction site conditions, including noise, dust, and outdoor elements. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors. Must adhere strictly to all company and OSHA safety standards. Fast-paced environment requiring strong time management and coordination skills. Why Join Us?
