Implement targeted speech therapy interventions focusing on language, fluency, vocalization, and swallowing. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, ensuring a collaborative approach to patient care. Educate patients and their families, equipping them with tools to support therapy progress beyond clinical settings. Provide support for occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, fostering a seamless transition in the patient's care journey. Document patient progress thoroughly and timely, adhering to all relevant guidelines and regulations. Engage in ongoing learning and professional development through workshops, courses, and collaboration with peers. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. Certifications Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Essential Skills Strong grasp of evidence-based practices for speech, language, and swallowing disorders across all age groups. Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Capability to modify therapy techniques to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Sound clinical judgment paired with adept problem-solving skills.
