Job Description: The Production Assistant will support daily operations in our facility. This role involves assisting with various tasks, including preparing equipment for shipment, assembling parts orders, and performing custodial duties to maintain a clean workspace. The Production Assistant will also help the receiving department with incoming equipment and parts, assist the stockroom with sorting and inventory management, and ensure timely preparation of spare parts orders for shipment. Additionally, responsibilities include picking up and delivering parts to local vendors as needed. Key Role Areas (KRA): 1. Equipment Preparation & Shipping Efficiency2. Facility and Custodial SupportJob Duties & Responsibilities:KRA # 1 - Equipment Preparation & Shipping Efficiency Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, inspected, and packaged before shipment. Meet daily and weekly shipping schedules with accuracy. Adhere to shipping standards and shipping checklists Build skids and crates for upcoming shipments KRA # 2 - Forklift & Safety Compliance Conduct and document daily forklift safety checks. Follow all safety procedures while operating machinery and handling materials. Maintain forklift and scissors lift batteries Ensure propane tanks are filled in timely manner KRA # 3 - Machine Assembly Assistance Support technicians in machine sub-assemblies as required. Follow assembly guidelines and ensure quality standards are met. Assembly of parts orders KRA # 4 - Vendor & Logistics Support Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of parts at local vendors. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and deliveries. Safely loading and unloading of freight KRA # 5 - Facility and Custodial Support Keep the shop, production floors, and workspaces clean and organized.
