Salary: $19.53 - $25.27 Hourly Location : Muskegon, MI Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: 2026-02548-02 Department: Facilities Management Opening Date: 02/19/2026 Closing Date: 3/5/2026 5:00 PM Eastern Description of Work A Facilities Maintenance Technician I, under the general supervision of the Facilities Management Supervisor, performs skilled and semi-skilled duties related to the maintenance of County and HealthWest facilities. An employee in this class provides repair, alteration, modernization and preventive maintenance duties, and performs other related duties as assigned. Required Minimum Entrance Qualifications 1. Be a high school graduate or have certificate of completion of the General Educational Development test (GED); AND Have a minimum of two (2) years full-time paid work experience in building maintenance or general work. 2. Have a valid Michigan driver's license. Physical Conditions / Work Location PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES A Facilities Maintenance Technician I must be in good physical condition, such to allow for medium to heavy work activities requiring the lifting and carrying of objects weighing fifty (50) pounds or more, and for walking, standing, bending for extended periods of time. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS An employee in this class performs job duties in a variety of County or HealthWest work locations including inside of, on top of, or outside of County or HealthWest buildings and facilities. An offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the medical examination and drug screening test.
