Position Overview Under minimal supervision, the Automotive "C" Technician performs routine mechanical and light cosmetic repairs on fleet vehicles in accordance with Flexcar policies and procedures. This is a non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime compensation under California law, including: Overtime for hours worked over 8 in a workday Double time for hours worked over 12 in a workday Overtime premiums for qualifying seventh consecutive workdays Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations will be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with applicable law. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire changes, tire rotations, battery installations, air filter replacements, light bulb replacements, and wiper replacements Conduct mechanical inspections (tire inspections, visual brake inspections, underbody damage inspections, suspension assessments) Identify, order, and maintain appropriate supplies and parts Properly use hand tools, chemicals, and shop equipment Follow Flexcar standard operating procedures Maintain a safe and organized workspace consistent with 5S standards Review work orders for accuracy of repairs and parts installed Use internal and external technology systems to complete assignments Assist with onboarding and knowledge-sharing with new team members Accurately complete timekeeping and repair documentation Perform work within established cycle times Maintain compliance with Cal/OSHA and environmental regulations Safeguard vehicles, company property, and customer information Required Qualifications At least 18 years of age Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to lift and carry tools and supplies up to 75 pounds Willingness to work in varying weather conditions Ability to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require 2+ years of automotive repair experience preferred, but not required Physical Requirements Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting Working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures Exposure to automotive tools, equipment, and chemicals Compensation Transparency (California - SB 1162) The hourly pay range for this position in California is $22.00 - $32.00 per hour. This range represents the reasonably expected pay range for this role in California. Actual compensation will be determined based on: Experience Skills and competencies Geographic location Internal equity considerations This position is paid on an hourly basis and is eligible for overtime in accordance with California wage and hour laws.
