Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Oversee the daily operations of the medical oncology and outpatient infusion departments, ensuring efficient and quality care delivery. Manage and mentor a team of oncology nurses, infusion nurses, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and standards for quality and patient safety. Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care, staff performance, and department outcomes. Manage the scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation for the outpatient infusion center and oncology services. Collaborate with physicians, clinical specialists, and hospital leadership to coordinate patient care and improve overall services. Serve as a clinical resource for the nursing team, providing guidance on complex cases and direct patient care when necessary. Handle escalated patient concerns, ensuring a patient-centered approach to resolving issues and maintaining satisfaction. Candidate requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in oncology, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) or equivalent certification preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage high-stress situations and make critical decisions.
