Job Description

Conco Services LLC is looking for an Eddy Current Testing Technician for our Antioch, CA location! With hundreds of people working around the world, the Conco team is global, diverse, and passionate about delivering quality products and services to our customers in tube cleaning, nondestructive testing, and leak detection services. Conco is a long-recognized leader throughout the power industry with 100 years' experience! What the job entails: Responsible for setting up test equipment, assisting in data collection, prepping from the condensers and heat exchangers from multiple jobs. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Follow established techniques and procedures, for the cleaning and inspecting of heat exchangers, fin fans, condensers, and various fixed equipment. Ability to prepare and assist in the mobilization, set-up and de-mobilization of cleaning and testing equipment. Inventory equipment ensuring job ready status after each job and perform preventative maintenance on some service equipment. Ensures all documents relating to a job are prepared and processed according to established procedures. Adhere to Employee's Responsibilities section set forth in Conco's Safety Policies and Procedure Manual Will be responsible for field service duties on data acquisition for ET / RFT / IRIS / NFT testing methods. Field experience in the Industrial NDE setting is preferred but not required. Willing and able to be trained to a Conco ET/RFT Level I. Willing to travel within and out of the state of California. Qualifications and Skills High School Diploma or GED required. Must meet vision requirements for NDT personnel (near vision and color vision). Must be eligible to work in accordance with employer's written practice. Completion of formal eddy current Level I training hours as required by certification standard (typically ~40 hours). Limited or no prior experience required; on-the-job training provided. Basic understanding of NDT methods and theory is a plus. Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and procedures. Physical Requirements Frequent lifting or moving of materials up to 50 lbs. Labor intense: crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, squatting, driving, sitting, or standing (particularly for long periods of time). Ability to work in confined spaces, work high off the ground, ability to climb scaffolding. Primarily perform work in petrochemical plants under extremely hot, cold, wet and/or noisy areas. Ability to travel for long periods of time (via airplane or vehicle). Physically submit to periodic drug, background, and clearance screenings (employment is contingent upon favorable results). Work Environment The work environment involves working at remote locations, such as power generation facilities, oil refineries, or chemical plants. Employees may be exposed to loud noise, heavy machinery, and hazardous materials. Rotational schedules and extended shifts are common. Safety is a top priority, with rigorous training protocols and PPE including hard hats, gloves, and high-visibility clothing provided to mitigate risks. The role may involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold. Employees will spend time traveling between job sites.
