Sanitation Worker Day - Berkeley Culinary Center

Job Title This position is responsible to ensure that the plant meets mandatory sanitation requirements for machinery, equipment and facilities. This person carries out tasks in accordance with Whitsons policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws while following the Management Operating Structure. Essential Functions, Responsibilities and Duties: Ensures plant is audit ready at all times by cleaning, scrubbing, and sanitizing the outside of all equipment, tanks, stairs, walls, floors, baseboards, handrails, sinks, drains, and trash cans throughout the plant. Assists production staff with cleaning up major projects as needed. Responsible for the daily exterior cleaning of machinery. Ensures different rooms are cleaned throughout the plant by mopping, sweeping, wiping, etc.. Takes direction from Sanitation Supervisor to resolve sanitation-related issues. Works with Production and other co-workers to meet sanitation schedules while maximizing productivity. Analyzes and resolves sanitation work problems, or assists workers in solving sanitation work problems. Responsible for keeping outside grounds cleaned all year round. Clean common and office areas on occasion. Payrate $16.00 per hour
