Description Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric groups using a variety of standardized tests and observational insights. Create individualized treatment plans targeting specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs with both short-term and long-term objectives. Conduct personalized speech therapy sessions that focus on language, voice, fluency, and swallowing challenges. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop comprehensive treatment strategies. Provide education to patients and their families to promote therapeutic progress beyond clinical visits. Facilitate occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the patient journey. Maintain thorough and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies. Engage in ongoing education and peer collaborations to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet achieved ASHA certification. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices for clients of all ages, backed by a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired communication disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills that facilitate effective interactions with patients, families, and care teams. Adaptability in therapy techniques to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
