Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU - Dayshift

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Position Overview: Staff nurse will be responsible for providing intensive care to patients with serious heart and vascular conditions. This includes recovering hearts from various cardiac procedures. Shifts are three 12-hour shifts one week and four 12-hour shifts the following week (every other weekend included). Pre-Employment Requirements: We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required. Education Requirements: ADN required, BSN preferred. Job Requirements: Current RN License. Previous cardiac experience required. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a strong customer service focus. Strong assessment, organizational and problem-solving skills as evidenced by the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and role components required. Ability to function independently and exercise judgment in interactions with physicians, interprofessional care team and patients, and their families.
