Why you'll love this job: The primary purpose of this role is to lead analysis for the commercial organization, supporting the needs from the business, requests from senior leadership, and provide technical and strategic guidance to other team members. In this role, you will design models, produce ad hoc analysis, create forecasts, and develop reporting in support of Commercial objectives. The role is a member of the Commercial Planning & Performance within the Revenue Division. What you'll do: Leads communications directly with business units to understand their business problems. Works directly with senior leaders to identify the Commercial needs, insights and strategic assessment. Responsible for designing a plan that creates, executes, and then communicates analysis at leadership level. Leads the development data solutions, reporting and analytics data models using SQL, Tableau, PowerBI and excel. Maintains reliability of solutions by developing and implementing standards and/or process for building well-structured analysis and models that are easily shared and interpreted. Leads the creation and maintenance of documentation related to our reporting, query library, and tools. Utilizes programming languages to perform statistical research and analysis and visualize the results. Leads the development of forecasting models and new analytics to identify trends and build strategic reporting to display those results. Leads ad-hoc analysis and other program administration as required. All you'll need for success: Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on data analytics or finance 3 years experience in the airline or travel related industry 3 years experience in an analytical role Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience: 5 years experience in various airline analytical roles 1 year experience in a Leadership position Skills, Licenses & Certifications: Microsoft Certification or Microsoft Programming Certificate Technical skills including Microsoft SQL, Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, and the ability to communicate directly with users What you'll get: Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
