The PRN Radiology Practice Coordinator, reporting to the Radiology Facilitator Supervisor, fulfills the responsibilities necessary to assist the radiologist to streamline workflow process. Coordinates and manages exams once they reach Picture Archiving Communication Systems (PACS), ensuring a timely reading and report delivery to ordering and referring physicians. Evaluates studies, recognizes discrepancies and resolves issues or brings to the attention of the Radiologist. These responsibilities involve participation in a variety of technical and administrative processes which deliver quality care to physicians, ancillary staff and patients. The value you will bring to the team: Assists Radiologist by monitoring and prioritizing all the PACS worklists for critical exams, STAT exams, established turn-around times for exams, incomplete or broken studies, corrects hanging protocols, one off reads. Responsible for identifying incorrect sequences and imaging. Assists the Radiologist with providing timely results to ancillary departments and physician offices. Connects physician to physician phone calls and minimizes phone calls into the read rooms. Personally follows through with communicating clinical information and observations to the radiologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare providers. Adheres to scheduled shifts and providing proper advanced notification of tardiness, absences and vacation requests. The expertise and experiences you will need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required or ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography CNMT - Certified Nuclear Med Tech Current valid State of Florida license as a General Radiographer, Sonographer, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Upon Hire Preferred qualifications: Associate's Degree in Radiological Sciences or Healthcare related field of study Bachelor's Degree in Radiological Sciences or Healthcare related field of study 1 working as a registered imaging technologist (any modality) Advanced modality certification (CT, MRI, NM, MG) Upon Hire This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
