Alcott, a leading nonprofit agency dedicated to providing vital mental health and supportive housing services to low-income adults across Los Angeles County, is seeking a reliable and compassionate Residential Aide - Swing Shift to join our ODR Interim Housing team in Mid City, CA. Key Details Job Title: Residential Aide - Swing Shift Department: ODR Interim Housing Reports To: Program Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Work Setting: On-Site (Mid City, CA) Schedule Options: Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday, from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm What You'll Do: The Impact You'll Make As a Residential Aide, you will support daily operations within an interim housing setting serving individuals with complex needs. You will respond promptly and professionally to resident concerns, assist with daily living activities, and promote independence while maintaining appropriate boundaries. You will support meal service and structured program activities as assigned. You will monitor the facility to ensure safety and order, conduct regular rounds, and respond appropriately to emergencies. You will document incidents, injuries, and unusual occurrences in accordance with agency protocol. You will maintain cleanliness and safety in resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and laundry facilities. You will complete daily logs, shift reports, and communicate relevant information to oncoming staff and the Program Manager. You may answer phones, greet visitors, assist with meetings and recreational activities, and monitor client self-administration of prescribed medications. What You'll Bring: Your Qualifications Education and Experience High School diploma or GED required. At least one (1) year of experience in mental health, substance use treatment, social services, or supporting individuals experiencing homelessness required. Candidates with lived experience are encouraged to apply. If in recovery from alcohol or substance use, at least one (1) year of continuous sobriety is required. Military-experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Skills and Abilities Ability to remain calm, professional, and consistent during stressful situations. Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems. Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accountability and structure within a residential environment. Additional Requirements Valid California Driver's License, clean driving record, and insurability under agency policy required. Successful completion of Live Scan background check required.
