Warehouse Manager Job Category: Management Requisition Number: WAREH002772 Location: Houston, TX 77013, USA Description Oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and products. Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff; manage scheduling, productivity, and performance. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits, cycle counts, and data entry in inventory management systems. Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies and safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, etc.). Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including communication with vendors, carriers, and internal departments. Operate and monitor warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. Implement and maintain effective warehouse layout and organization to maximize efficiency and space utilization. Monitor KPIs and develop process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs. Collaborate with procurement, operations, and customer service teams to meet business goals and service expectations. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 3+ years of warehouse experience, including at least 12 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping/receiving procedures, and warehouse best practices. Proficient with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain). Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work in varying warehouse conditions.
