Implement targeted speech therapy interventions that enhance communication, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing abilities. Work collaboratively alongside a multidisciplinary team including occupational and physical therapists, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Provide education and resources to patients and families to facilitate progress and understanding outside of clinical sessions. Occasionally perform inpatient evaluations and therapy to guarantee seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment experience. Maintain precise, compliant documentation that adheres to local, state, and federal regulations. Pursue ongoing professional development through specialized training and collaborative opportunities. Your Qualifications A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CACREP-accredited program or equivalent. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not already ASHA-certified. Certifications Needed State license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Essential Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices for treating children and adults, with a comprehensive knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech and language disorders. Exceptional communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Flexibility in adapting therapeutic approaches to accommodate cultural and linguistic diversity. Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities. Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards.
