Job Title: Sr. Internal Auditor - Financial Services Job Location: Raleigh, NC (Onsite) Job Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $105-115,000 (annually) with an employee benefits package and possible bonus opportunity. General Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor responsible for independently reviewing and evaluating how effectively risks are identified, managed, and controlled across a financial institution. The Senior Auditor will contribute to audit engagements covering a wide range of areas, including operational processes, regulatory requirements, technology, and financial activities. Working closely with audit leadership, this individual will support planning, execution, and reporting activities while helping advance the use of analytics and continuous monitoring techniques. Over time, the Senior Auditor will build strong business knowledge and serve as a trusted partner by delivering insights that strengthen governance, control, and risk practices. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of experience performing audit work in internal audit, public accounting, or a financial services environment. Demonstrated knowledge of evaluating risk exposure, assessing control effectiveness, and reviewing compliance within regulated organizations. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a consistent track record of delivering accurate, timely work across multiple priorities. Effective communicator who can clearly document conclusions and confidently discuss audit results with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Exposure to audit-related data analytics, technology risk, or progress toward a recognized professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CRMA, CFE).
