Corporation School Bus Driver Trainee

Job Description The position of Corporation School Bus Driver Trainee pays $15.00/hr.Once licensed, you will be recommended as a Substitute Corporation School Bus Driver and paid $50.00 per each run covered or $100.00 for a full day of substituting (morning and afternoon run). Additional runs during the day add to base pay. Extracurricular trips may also be available (@ $17.50/hr. with a 4-hour guarantee). Applicants for this position must be available on an on-call basis; those interested in a regular route will be placed on a seniority list and assigned to an open route when one becomes available. The potential for regular, daily work is likely. Job Qualifications • Must be at least 21-years-old. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and extended background check. • Must have a clean driving record. • Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and qualify for a Title 20 Physical Fitness Certificate. • Must hold or be able to obtain a Class "B" CDL with Air Brake, Passenger, and School Bus Endorsements. • Must hold or be able to obtain an Indiana School Bus Driver Certification (Yellow Card). • Maintain consistent attendance and timeliness.Must be able to work every school day, morning and afternoon, with a consistent schedule. Must be available to schedule hourly work between bus runs each week per departmental needs• Good verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work with students who have a variety of needs. • Attention to detail, quick learner, willingness to learn new skills.
