Travel CVOR RN job in Portland, Oregon (97225) for an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse who can scrub and circulate in high-acuity cardiac surgery cases. Work in a short-term acute care setting using Epic charting and provide on-call coverage for emergent cardiovascular procedures—ideal for a confident travel nurse ready for a fast-paced perioperative environment. Job Details Job Title: Travel CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – Days Location: Portland, OR 97225 (Oregon travel nursing job) Facility Type/Setting: Short-term acute care hospital – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Start Date: 03/30/2026 End Date: 07/20/2026 Contract Duration: 16 weeks Schedule: Day shift, 3x12s (07:00–19:00) Hours per Week: 36 Shift Duration: 12-hour days Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month (Saturday 06:00 – Monday 06:00 standby) On-Call: Yes – cardiac emergencies (scrub and circulator) Floating: Yes, based on unit/facility needs within the local affiliate network Charting System/EMR: Epic (required) Transportation: Must have a vehicle for this assignment Compensation Weekly Estimated Pay Range: $2260–$2380 Job Requirements (CVOR RN) Experience: 2 years of CVOR RN experience required; travel nursing experience required Core CVOR Skills: Scrub and circulator experience strongly preferred License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Oregon RN license preferred; may be submitted pending if applicable) Certifications: AHA BLS required EMR: Epic charting experience required References: Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years (charge/lead accepted) Availability: Ability to take call and respond to emergent cardiac surgery cases Responsibilities (Cardiovascular Operating Room Nursing) Deliver perioperative nursing care in the CVOR as a scrub and/or circulating RN, prioritizing patient safety and sterile technique Support cardiovascular surgery cases based on competency and unit needs Provide on-call coverage and respond to cardiac emergencies, coordinating with the surgical team to mobilize resources quickly Complete accurate, timely documentation in Epic and follow required safety and verification processes Assist with equipment readiness, specimen handling/labeling, and maintaining an efficient OR workflow Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to support perioperative flow Float within the local affiliate network as needed based on skill set and operational demand Apply now to join our healthcare team for this Travel CVOR RN contract in Portland, OR and make an impact in high-acuity cardiovascular surgery.
