Company Name: CAT Location:Mossville, IL-prefernce is onsite interview, still show me if virtual Rate: 50hc2c-show me if higher Duration:2 years Title: SIL Engineer Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) Responsibilities Develop and execute SIL test cases to validate embedded software functionality in a simulated environment. Reuse model-based test data to evaluate algorithm behavior and ensure alignment with design expectations. Run unit tests using GoogleTest for C/C++ code verification (including integration into CI where applicable). Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain HIL test environments to validate real-time embedded control systems. Execute HIL test cases, simulate system behaviors, and analyze real-time system responses. Collaborate with hardware/software teams to identify defects, diagnose issues, and verify fixes. Support hardware-software integration, including mapping of I/O signals and interfacing with ECUs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or related field. 1+ years of experience in embedded systems development, testing, or validation. Hands-on experience with GoogleTest (gTest) for C/C++ unit testing. Familiarity with SIL/HIL concepts used for validating control software before real-world deployment. Understanding of embedded software, control systems, and real-time behaviors.
