Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) providing expert anesthesia care across various settings including the operating room, outpatient surgery, obstetrics, and post-anesthesia care units. This per diem role involves collaborating closely with medical and nursing staff to ensure safe, effective anesthesia delivery and adherence to departmental policies. Key Responsibilities Administer all types of anesthesia including general, regional, local, and sedation techniques tailored to patient needs. Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic assessments, reviewing lab results, clinical history, and consultative information. Evaluate and manage patient pain effectively, educating patients and families on pain control strategies. Maintain a culture of safety by optimizing patient care environments and minimizing healthcare errors. Obtain informed consent by clearly communicating risks, complications, and anesthesia options. Develop and document individualized anesthetic care plans and perform assessments immediately prior to anesthesia induction. Participate in continuous quality improvement and departmental performance activities. Education and Certifications Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program recognized by the AANA Council on Accreditation. Current certification or recertification from the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. Active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state. Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS/NRP certifications. Experience Minimum of three years' experience as a practicing CRNA. Professional Requirements Ability to respond to on-call duties within 20 minutes. Commitment to regulatory compliance and professional ethics. Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
