Boom Truck Crane Operator Nations Roof is a leader in the commercial roofing. Position Summary The Boom Truck Crane Operator is responsible for transporting and safely operating a truck-mounted crane to support commercial roofing and sheet metal projects. This role requires safe equipment setup, precise material placement, and strong teamwork on active construction job sites. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Drive truck-mounted crane from warehouse to job sites. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and crane. Safely set up crane for daily operations, including proper outrigger placement and site stabilization. Operate hydraulic crane attachments (humpty, clam, etc.). Interpret load charts to ensure safe lifting practices. Lift, move, and position materials and equipment as directed. Communicate effectively with ground crew using hand signals and/or radios. Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies. Maintain required inspection logs and operational documentation. Identify and report mechanical issues or unsafe conditions. Work collaboratively as a team player who gets along well with others. Assist with general labor tasks when crane operation is not required. Position Requirements NCCCO Certification (NCCO Card) required. Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record. Prior experience operating and setting up truck-mounted cranes. Strong knowledge of safe rigging and lifting procedures. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical job duties as required.
