Director of Technology

Our mission-driven financial services client located outside of Albany, NY is seeking a Director of Technology Strategy & Enablement to lead enterprise technology strategy, modernization, and operational alignment. This senior, hands-on role ensures technology platforms, architecture, and vendors support business goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth. Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute the enterprise technology roadmap and modernization initiatives Define and oversee enterprise architecture across cloud platforms, applications, integrations, and data Partner with IT and cybersecurity leadership to manage technology and cyber risk Oversee vendor strategy, system resilience, and disaster recovery readiness Provide leadership and mentorship to senior IT management Support audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments Develop reporting and data frameworks to support executive decision-making Communicate technology strategy and risk posture to executive leadership and the Board Job Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred) 7+ years of experience in technology leadership or enterprise IT roles Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure), identity management, and enterprise architecture Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and risk management Excellent communication and executive presentation skills Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly around $140,000.
