Parking Lot Sweeper (Night Shift) Location: 550 Wolverine Street, Rockford, MI 49341 Schedule: Overnight | 8:00 PM 6:00 AM | Days Vary (Schedule subject to change based on business needs) Rate of Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour SCA is seeking a reliable and self-motivated Parking Lot Sweeper (Night Shift) to operate sweeper trucks and maintain cleanliness across commercial properties. This role is responsible for removing litter and debris from parking lots, sidewalks, and landscaped areas at night while ensuring safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, outdoors in various weather conditions, and takes pride in producing clean, professional results. Key Responsibilities Operate sweeper truck to clean parking lots according to nightly route schedules Empty trash cans and remove litter/debris from walkways, landscaped areas, and corners Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment Report mechanical issues, incidents, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors Adhere to all company safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Complete work orders accurately and maintain sweep validation records Communicate any route delays or scope changes to supervisors in a timely manner Maintain vehicle cleanliness and refuel as needed Assist with additional tasks or duties as assigned Job Requirements Valid Chauffeur's License Ability to work overnight from 8:00 PM 6:00 AM with a flexible schedule Comfortable working independently with limited supervision Ability to work in all weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, etc.) Physically able to bend, lift, walk, drive, and operate equipment for extended hours Prior experience operating sweeper trucks or similar equipment is a plus High school diploma or GED preferred Benefits of Joining SCA Full benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Weekly pay (Fridays for hourly employees) Paid time off and holidays Company-paid life insurance Voluntary benefits including short/long-term disability, accident insurance, and critical illness coverage On-Demand Pay through Ceridian Dayforce access your earnings as you earn them Opportunities for career growth and advancement SCA is a military friendly employer and is happy to have those who have served our country on the team.
