Additional information about the company can be found online at We are currently looking for an Accounting Analyst III for our Houston, TX office. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The responsibilities of a fixed asset accounting analyst are as follows: Analyze maps, drawings, and project costs to identify, verify, and understand physical pipeline assets Assist in recording additions and disposals of capital projects in the fixed asset system Assist in analyzing Growth and Abandonment projects for asset acceleration. Prepare monthly journal entries Reconcile fixed assets subledger and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and maintain detailed rollforward schedules of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation. Assist in other (non-fixed asset) general ledger accounting activities as needed Provide audit support and documentation as needed for internal and external auditors Develop understanding of Oracle EBS and/or other FA systems Develop understanding of regulatory accounting. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: Ability to work independently. Highly organized, motivated and an analytical thinker. Excellent communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Less than 10 years of experience PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: Pipeline or other industry experience REQUIRED EDUCATION: BA/BS Finance, Accounting, Economics ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Boardwalk Pipelines, LP, maintains a drug-free workplace and will require pre-employment drug & substance abuse testing before hiring.
