Whitaker Glass of Central Indiana is a growing commercial glazing, storefront, and entrance systems contractor serving Central Indiana. We specialize in aluminum storefronts, glass, and door systems for commercial projects and are known for our responsiveness, quality, and strong relationships with general contractors and vendors. We are seeking an experienced General Manager / Senior Estimator to help lead day-to-day operations while owning the estimating and preconstruction process. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Provide day-to-day leadership for estimating, project execution, and internal operations Work closely with ownership to execute company strategy, growth plans, and process improvements Support project managers and field leadership to ensure jobs are properly staffed, scheduled, and executed Help build scalable systems for estimating, ordering, and project turnover Serve as a key decision-maker for pricing, staffing, and workload planning Estimating & Preconstruction Lead commercial glazing estimates from bid review through final pricing Perform detailed takeoffs for storefronts, curtain wall, glass, doors, and related systems Utilize estimating software (GDS Estimating / WinBidPro or similar) Coordinate with vendors (YKK AP, glass suppliers, hardware vendors, etc.) for pricing and scope clarity Review contracts, specifications, and drawings to identify risk, exclusions, and opportunities Support project handoff from estimating to operations to ensure smooth execution Business Development & Relationships Maintain and grow relationships with general contractors, architects, and suppliers Support selective pursuit of projects that align with company strengths and margins Represent Whitaker Glass professionally in meetings, job walks, and industry interactions Qualifications 7+ years of experience in commercial glazing, storefront, or curtain wall construction Strong estimating background with proven bid success Experience leading teams or managing operations preferred Working knowledge of aluminum systems, glass types, hardware, and installation methods Proficiency with estimating software (GDS / WinBidPro experience a plus) Strong financial awareness related to labor, margins, and job costs Clear communicator with leadership presence and sound judgment What We Offer Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) Performance-based bonus potential Paid time off and holidays Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (based on role structure) Opportunity for long-term growth and potential equity participation A leadership role with real influence not just a title Why Whitaker Glass We are a hands-on, values-driven company that believes in doing things the right way for our customers, our employees, and our partners.
