We are actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Inspector to join and grow in the PPG organization. The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace and defense components. This role supports CNC, EDM, and related machining operations to ensure all parts meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and applicable quality standards prior to shipment. Highlights and BenefitsQuarterly profit-sharing bonus; eligible upon hirePaid time off401(k) with company matchPaid holidaysTuition / professional development reimbursementHealth, dental, and vision insuranceOptional HSA with company contributionShort-term disability, long term disability, and life insurance at no costLimitless opportunity for advancement Requirements:Inspect raw materials, castings, forgings, and customer-supplied product upon receiptVerify material certifications, traceability, and purchase order requirementsIdentify and document nonconforming material; initiate NCRs as requiredCommunicate issues promptly to Quality, Engineering, and PurchasingPerform in-process inspections at defined operations to verify dimensional and visual requirementsWork closely with machinists and programmers to resolve issues earlyVerify first article setups and critical characteristicsDocument inspection results per shop procedures and customer requirementsPerform final inspection of completed parts prior to shippingVerify drawing compliance, revision level, and special process requirementsReview routers, inspection records, and certifications for completenessApprove parts for shipment and ensure proper identification and packagingInterpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specificationsUse precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, CMM or optical systems if applicable)Maintain accurate inspection records in ERP or quality systemsSupport AS9100 / customer audit activities as neededFollow all safety, quality, and configuration control requirements Knowledge, skills, and abilities5+ years of inspection experience in a precision machining or aerospace environmentStrong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&TExperience with incoming, in-process, and final inspection activitiesProficient with standard mechanical inspection toolsFamiliarity with aerospace documentation and traceability requirementsAbility to work independently and communicate clearly with production teamsExperience in a prototype or R&D machine shop environment is a plusWorking knowledge of airfoil features is a plus but not requiredExperience inspecting CNC-machined and EDM componentsBasic CMM operation or optical inspection experienceKnowledge of AS9100, Nadcap flow-down, or prime customer requirements Compensation details: 27-36 Hourly Wage PI455ac9308d19-29400-39662123
