Job Description Prepare comprehensive budgets and cost estimates for construction projects based on detailed analysis of plans and specifications. Collaborate with project teams, architects, and subcontractors to gather accurate data and ensure alignment with project scope. Review and assess subcontractor and supplier proposals to confirm value and compliance with project requirements. Track and report project costs throughout the lifecycle, providing timely updates to stakeholders. Identify opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining quality and performance standards. Stay current with market pricing, material trends, and industry developments to inform estimates. Ensure all cost-related activities adhere to local codes, regulations, and company standards. The Successful Applicant Municipal Ground-Up Projects: Experience delivering public facilities such as community centers, public safety buildings, or administrative buildings; comfortable navigating city permitting, inspections, and public-sector workflows. Retail Ground-Up Projects: Successful track record with standalone retail, shopping centers, or big-box stores; able to manage accelerated schedules, tenant requirements, and brand standards. Hospitality Ground-Up Projects: Experience constructing hotels, resorts, or extended-stay properties; strong understanding of FF&E coordination, high-end finishes, and schedule-driven opening timelines. Education Ground-Up Projects: Background in K-12 or higher-education construction; familiarity with district requirements, campus safety standards, and phased construction.
