Facilities & Transportation Tech This role will specifically focus on logistics and material handling to support the Nevada plant. The plant will utilize crop residues and corn as inputs and create a soil conditioner product in addition to renewable natural gas (methane). The work scope will include safe machine operation of trucks, light maintenance functions, and preventative checks of motor equipment. Will provide general facility and housekeeping tasks at the plant and the north property. This role will ensure that all plant areas are clean, safe, and well organized to support efficient production operations. Responsibilities include transporting feedstock, soil conditioners, and other materials as assigned using a variety of trailer types, including, but not limited to, flatbeds, belt trailers, and tankers. Meet scheduling needs to provide safe and efficient movement of equipment and feedstock. Conduct daily preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment. Enter work order requests in E-Maintenance. Complete and submit required paperwork in a timely manner while verifying accuracy. Responsible for maintaining, documenting, and adhering to established procedures and policies. Comply with all DOT, OSHA and company safety programs and policies. Loading and unloading of product from vehicles and trailers. Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle. Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports. Pumping and cleaning of containments. Housekeeping includes cleaning and removing corn, humus and particle dust in plant buildings. Maintain cleanliness and organization in all plant areas, including production units, shared areas, and storage spaces. Assist in cleaning production units as directed by the production team, ensuring all equipment and surfaces are free from debris and contaminants. Dispose of waste materials per plant policies and environmental regulations. Perform common cleaning activities including Milling building cleaning, Dryer yard cleaning including cyclones, wet cake pad cleaning, and drums/totes, triple rinsing/labeling/capping/inventory for disposal. Clean based on housekeeping assessments completed by the management team and self-led inspections. Perform routine inspections of plant areas to identify and address housekeeping issues promptly. Operate cleaning equipment including the Industrial vacuum and use cleaning supplies safely and effectively. Report maintenance or repair needs to the proper personnel for resolution. Inclement weather coverage includes the distribution of salt and sand, and the cleaning of surfaces covered in snow and/or ice. Mowing/groundskeeping of the North Property and at the Plant. Perform other duties as assigned. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certifications/Licenses: Valid Class A CDL or the ability to obtain and maintain, with an acceptable driving record, is a must. Valid DOT Physical, or ability to obtain and maintain. Additional Knowledge: Mechanical aptitude includes basic understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems for preventative maintenance and repairs and the ability to overcome obstacles. Ability to perform a pre-trip inspection, checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle. Skills: Strong knowledge of safety regulations. Visual and hearing acuity, following federal regulations which mandate that truck drivers must hear a forced whisper at 5 feet, have at least 20/40 vision, a 70-degree field of vision and the ability to distinguish the colors of traffic lights. Hand-eye coordination. Must be able to coordinate their hands, legs, and eyes to maintain a fast reaction time on the roads. Knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook. Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Demonstrate strong organizational competencies and attention to detail. Ability to make prompt, informed decisions while working independently with minimum supervision. Ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgement in making decisions. Ability to identify and handle conflicts sensibly, fairly, and efficiently Understand the seasonality of the agricultural business and the in-season time commitment. Experience: One (1+) year of relevant CDL experience and/or training. Leadership Responsibility: The role has no direct reports. Physical activity includes stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping. Ability to frequently lift and/or carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
