Summary Of Position The International Regulatory Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting Solina USA's global regulatory compliance activities. This role ensures that products, ingredients, formulations, and labeling meet international food regulatory requirements, with a primary focus on the European Union, Canada, Asia, and Latin America. This position serves as a key regulatory subject matter expert, providing guidance, interpretation, and training to cross-functional teams to support international product development, commercialization, and customer requirements. Ensure compliance of products and ingredients with applicable international food regulations, including EU and Canadian regulatory frameworks. Interpret and apply international regulations related to: Food additives and usage limits E-number approvals and restrictions GMO regulations and labeling requirements Provide functional regulatory support for Asian and Latin American markets, with deeper regional expertise considered a strong plus. Review and approve formulations, ingredient statements, labels, and claims for international markets. Support international product launches by assessing regulatory risks and compliance requirements for target countries. Monitor changes in global food regulations and proactively communicate impacts to internal stakeholders. Serve as a regulatory resource for internal departments including Quality, R&D, Sales, Operations, and Customer Service. Respond to international customer regulatory inquiries and support documentation requests. Develop, maintain, and update regulatory documentation, including specifications, compliance statements, and certifications. Translate complex international regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for non-regulatory audiences. Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to educate internal teams on international regulatory topics. Collaborate with external partners, consultants, and customers as needed to support global regulatory compliance. Complete assigned projects accurately and in a timely manner and perform other regulatory-related duties as assigned. Required Skills, Education, And Experience Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition, or a related scientific field required. 35 years of experience in food regulatory affairs, quality, or compliance within the food manufacturing or ingredients industry. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience working with EU and Canadian food regulations. Strong knowledge of food additives, regulatory limits, and E-number systems. Working knowledge of GMO regulations and labeling requirements. Functional knowledge of Asian and Latin American food regulations. Ability to clearly communicate and train internal teams on international regulatory requirements. Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex regulatory language. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience supporting international product commercialization. Familiarity with global regulatory databases, PLM systems, or regulatory software tools. Experience working directly with international customers or distributors. Prior experience supporting regulatory audits or customer reviews for global markets. Supervisory Responsibility No Travel Requirements 15% Salary Range: $75,000-90,000 We are open to talents of all backgrounds.
