Administrative Support (HR) About the Role We are seeking an Administrative Support Human Resources professional to support attendance, discipline, and leave administration at a large automotive manufacturing facility in Dearborn, MI. This role serves as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for attendance?related matters in a unionized manufacturing environment, working closely with line management, labor relations, union representatives, and the medical department. This is a hands?on, fast?paced role ideal for someone with strong HR policy knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and confidence handling employee attendance and corrective action processes. Details Location: Dearborn, MI | Fully Onsite Compensation: $20-27/hour (with benefits) Schedule: B Crew: TuesdayFriday, 6:00 PM4:30 AM (SPOC start time is 5:00 PM to prepare for the shift) Pay Rate: $28.03 Must be available to work morning, night, and weekend shifts - Schedules rotate quarterlyWe anticipate placing you on B Crew. Initially, you will start on a 5x8 schedule to train with the day-shift team for approximately 34 weeks before transitioning to B Crew. Key Responsibilities Develop advanced knowledge of contract language related to attendance and discipline Investigate and manage employee attendance records using multiple HR systems Create and distribute daily attendance and status reports Conduct daily attendance meetings with employees and union representatives Administer corrective discipline documentation and write?ups Audit and correct attendance and tardiness coding Input and manage time?off codes including FMLA, personal days, bereavement, jury duty, and medical leaves Maintain all required documentation related to FMLA administration Serve as SME for line management on attendance policy interpretation Act as liaison between line management, labor relations, and the medical department Identify opportunities to streamline attendance and reporting processes Support payroll activities as needed Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational abilities Ability to manage sensitive employee matters with professionalism Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field Experience supporting HR functions in a unionized manufacturing environment Experience administering attendance, discipline, FMLA, and time & attendance systems Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills Self?starter comfortable working in a dynamic, high?volume environment
