Family Birth Center Position The Family Birth Center is a 12-bed unit with potential to overflow to 17 patients averaging 700-800 births per year. The patient population consists of labor and delivery, mother and baby, triage, C-sections, caring for newborns, unstable newborns until they are transferred. Cross trained to all aspects of antepartum. Patients are seen a month before delivery. Since 1921, Corewell Health Zeeland Hospital has delivered care that's advanced, yet makes you feel at home. Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. Qualifications: 2 years OB experience required Associates in Nursing Required Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months Primary Location: SITE - Zeeland Hospital - 8333 Felch - Zeeland Department Name: Women Infant Svcs Unit OB Delivery Postpartum 3E - Zeeland Hosp Employment Type: Full time Shift: Night (United States of America) Weekly Scheduled Hours: 36 Hours of Work: 7pm to 7am Days Worked: varies Weekend Frequency: Every third weekend
