Technical Manager (TIS Solution Architect - Customer Care & Billing)Location: Gastonia, NC Schedule: Hybrid - In office Monday, Tuesday & Thursday; Remote Wednesday & Friday About the Role Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment? We are seeking a Technical Manager to join our USUI Program team. In this role, you will lead the delivery of comprehensive Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) solutions across large-scale utilities in North America. Your expertise will be instrumental in aligning advanced technologies with complex business processes-ensuring seamless meter-to-cash experiences, customer care, and billing solutions for stakeholders. Note: Internally this position is titled Technical Manager TIS Solution Architect - Customer Care & Billing. There are 2 vacancies for this role.What You Will Do Lead Oracle CC&B Implementations Oversee full lifecycle delivery: requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Configure and customize CC&B modules (Rates & Billing, Payments, Credit & Collections, Customer Management, Metering/Device Management). Stakeholder Engagement Partner with business teams to translate processes and goals into CC&B configurations. Facilitate workshops (e.g., design thinking, process mapping) to align solutions with user needs. Integration & Solution Design Design and implement secure integrations with third-party systems (AWM, GIS, Payments, ERP, Bill Presentment, MDM, etc.). Provide best practice guidance to ensure operational efficiency and smooth adoption. Team Leadership & Knowledge Sharing Mentor project teams, lead training sessions, and ensure high-quality project documentation. Troubleshoot, conduct root cause analysis, and propose system enhancements. Who You AreRequired Qualifications University degree or Technical Diploma in IT, Engineering, or related discipline. 8+ years of Oracle CC&B experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Consultant, with multiple end-to-end implementations. Deep understanding of utility industry processes and how they align with CC&B functionality. Strong hands-on configuration/customization skills within CC&B. Expertise in integration methodologies and working with third-party platforms. 7+ years leading solutioning/implementation engagements with system integrators. Proven ability to engage stakeholders, run design workshops, and communicate across technical and non-technical groups. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on system performance and client satisfaction. Preferred Qualifications Oracle Utilities certifications (e.g., CC&B, MDM). Experience in digital transformation projects within the utilities or public sector. Working Conditions Office-based hybrid schedule with some travel requirements. Collaboration across distributed teams in multiple U.S. and Canadian locations. High visibility role; decisions impact multiple integrated business processes.
