Medical Front Desk Specialist We are looking for a Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our team in San Francisco, California. This is a contract position within the healthcare industry, providing critical administrative support to ensure smooth operations at a high-performing ambulatory surgery center. The ideal candidate will bring professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to maintain the highest standards of patient care. This is a part-time role. Daily hours will be 5:30AM-11:30AM Monday-Friday. Free parking & scrubs provided at this office. Responsibilities: Oversee front desk operations, including billing, payment collection, and maintaining a welcoming and clean environment for patients. Handle patient records using electronic charting systems while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Provide administrative support to clinic staff, including scheduling and coordinating tasks. Facilitate communication with patients and staff through answering inbound calls and addressing inquiries. Assist in ordering lunches and managing supplies for medical staff. Utilize EHR systems to input and manage patient data efficiently. Prepare and maintain accurate charts, graphs, and reports for clinic operations. Support budgeting and basic bookkeeping tasks for clinic administration. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and healthcare standards. Requirements: At least two years of experience in medical administrative roles, preferably within a medical office setting. Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems like Allscripts, Cerner, or Dentrix. Ability to handle physical office duties, including occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be fully vaccinated and able to pass all required screenings, including drug testing. Associate or undergraduate degree is preferred.
