Senior Cost Engineer

I am working with a well-known company looking to hire a Senior Project Cost Engineer. They have a fantastic corporate culture with strong leadership at the top. This person will collaborate with the executives and perform internal audits and reviews of project budgets and status reports. Some of the responsibilities include: Generate monthly profit forecasts and performance dashboards for senior management based on ongoing project analysis. Monitor and maintain budgets and job status reports for a portfolio of construction projects on a recurring monthly schedule. Mentor junior cost engineers and provide guidance and support to team members as needed. Lead regular job status meetings with stakeholders and project teams to review financial and operational progress. Deliver training to both office and field personnel on the use of project management software tools. Prepare and compile various monthly financial reports for executive leadership review. Analyze project cost data to identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and implement effective mitigation strategies. Contribute to the preparation of new construction project proposals for evaluation and approval. Support project executives with cost tracking, forecasting, subcontractor management, and change order administration. Offer cost-related insights and strategic recommendations to project teams and executive leadership. Audit and reconcile project performance using project management software to ensure accuracy and compliance. Continuously enhance and promote cost control best practices across the organization.
