Job Full Description CNC Lathe or Mill Machinist (Programming Required) Location: Salem, Oregon Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Pay: $29.00-$30.00 per hour (DOE) Position Overview: Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist for a Salem manufacturing company. This role requires strong hands-on programming experience on either a CNC Lathe or CNC Mill. Candidates must be able to independently program, set up, and produce precision components with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: • Program, set up, and operate CNC Lathe or CNC Mill equipment • Write and edit G-code to meet production requirements • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications • Select tooling, set offsets, and perform first-piece inspections • Maintain tight tolerances and consistent quality output • Troubleshoot machining or programming issues as needed • Follow all safety and quality standards Required Qualifications: • Proven CNC programming experience on either a Lathe OR a Mill (required) • Ability to complete full machine setups independently • Strong understanding of tooling, materials, feeds, and speeds • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings • Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Candidates without CNC programming experience will not be considered.Compensation Growth: Performance-based wage increases are available after approximately 80 days and again after 190 days, based on demonstrated skill level, programming ability, and overall performance.
