Job Responsibilities Conduct evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments as well as observational methods. Craft tailored treatment plans that not only focus on immediate objectives but also accommodate long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs. Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans. Provide education to patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond clinical sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity in patient care. Keep up-to-date and accurate documentation in alignment with state, federal, and facility protocols. Engage in continuous professional growth through ongoing education and teamwork. Qualifications A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Licenses and Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment. Desired Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities across all age groups, with comprehensive knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Adept at tailoring therapy techniques to cater to varying cultural and linguistic requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
