DetailsClient Name Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Job Type Travel Offering Nursing Profession Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty Med Surg Job ID 36013707 Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Weekly Pay $2260.0 Shift DetailsShift Days - 4 x 12 Scheduled Hours 48 Job Order DetailsStart Date 03/23/2026 End Date 06/22/2026 Duration 13 Week(s) Job Description Title Neuro/Stroke Stepdown - Med/Surg Schedule - Shift: 12-hour days, 06:45 - 19:15 - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required Assignment Details - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week Requirements - Minimum 2 years total nursing experience - Minimum 1 year direct Med/Surg experience - Travel experience required (must have at least 2 successful contracts) - EMR: Epic charting experience required - Certifications: BCLS (BLS) required; ACLS preferred - Hard-stop skills: Must have documented Med/Surg experience Roles & Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care for neuro/stroke patients, as well as other neurosurgery patients. - Monitor and assess patient conditions; implement and adjust care plans as necessary. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias. - Support patients in recovery and educate them and their families about neurology and self-care. - Actively participate in rapid response and code teams as needed. Compliance / Notes - Orientation: 36 hours - RTO/Time-off: No RTO during first week; auto-approve up to 7 days RTO (non-holiday). Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. - Scrubs: Navy - COVID-19 vaccine: Not required, but flu vaccine is required (medical/religious exemptions allowed). - Tier 2 Crisis Response: Candidate must complete lab/testing within 48 hours after signing. - Previous Novant/New Hanover perm/PRN/EP staff must have 12-month separation; disclose prior employment in submission.
