We’re looking for a bright and motivated Field Technician to join our Field Services team in Berkley, MI. The Field Technician position is ideal for someone looking to build their skills for career advancement and professional growth. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. A Day in the life of a Field TechnicianPerform a variety of field tasks, including sampling soil, water, vapor, and other media. Oversee soil boring advancement and the installation of monitoring wells. Provide oversite for the removal of leaking underground storage tanks, as well as excavations and demolitions. Assist with remediation system installations and maintenance. Conduct surveying and mapping activities. Provide field support to other teams, including the Site Investigation Services (SIS) team. Perform other job duties as assigned. What you bring to the Pinchin team High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field is preferred. 0–3 years of related experience. 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred, but not required. Comfortable operating trucks and trailers. Willing and able to travel to job sites. Excellent writing, editing, technical, and organizational skills, with strong problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build positive interpersonal relationships. Ability to work independently and thrive in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook—is preferred. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, adequate insurance, and availability to travel for work as required. Mileage is reimbursed when a personal vehicle is used. Availability to work outside core business hours; overtime is required for this position. Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical. Must be able to work outdoors in all climates and weather conditions.
