This role is ideal for a mid-level provider who is clinically confident, values teamwork, and thrives in a structured, high-quality specialty practice. The Urology NP/PA will manage a broad range of urologic conditions, support procedural and clinic workflows, and work closely with urologists to deliver comprehensive, efficient, and evidence-based care. Our model emphasizes provider support, operational efficiency, and sustainable workloads, allowing clinicians to focus on excellent patient outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Direct Patient Care • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with common and complex urologic conditions, including but not limited to: o Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) o Elevated PSA and prostate cancer surveillance o Urinary tract infections o Hematuria o Kidney stones o Overactive bladder and urinary incontinence o Erectile dysfunction and men's health concerns • Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations. • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under urology protocols. • Provide post-operative and post-procedure follow-up care. 2. Procedural & Clinical Support • Assist with and/or independently perform in-office urology procedures as permitted by scope and training, such as: o Catheter insertions and removals o Voiding trials o Cystoscopy assistance o Bladder instillations o Urodynamic testing (if applicable) • Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedure education. • Support clinic flow by managing procedure schedules and follow-ups. 3. Care Coordination & Collaboration • Work closely with urologists, medical assistants, nurses, and front office teams. • Coordinate diagnostic testing, imaging, labs, and referrals. • Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. • Participate in team huddles, case discussions, and quality initiatives. 4. Documentation, Coding & Compliance • Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the EHR (eCW experience preferred). • Ensure documentation supports appropriate coding and billing. • Comply with all regulatory, payer, and organizational policies. • Adhere to evidence-based urology guidelines and clinical protocols. 5. Quality, Efficiency & Patient Experience • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with a focus on safety and outcomes. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and workflow optimization. • Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans. • Support a positive patient experience through clear communication and professionalism.
