Status: Part Time 7.5 hr Shift: DAY SHIFT Department: Patient Logistics Position Summary Summary:The Bed Coordinator facilitates processes on a daily basis to expedite patient's movement within the organization. Adheres to patient centered care principles in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams; DONs, ANSs, NMs, Admitting office, Case Management and Social Work. Coordinates, prioritizes and optimizes patient flow activities. Qualifications Responsibilities:Education Required • Must complete in-house orientation program • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse diploma or college program. • BSN preferred. Experience And Skills • Speaks, reads and writes English • 2-3 years hospital nursing experience, including medical surgical. • Good oral and written communications skills License/Certifications • Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State. Working Conditions Other information:Working Conditions • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn • Standing/Walking for prolonged periods of time. • Sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time.
