Job Summary DSI is growing-again! We are currently hiring Armed Security Officers to join our team in Huntsville, AL. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, their employees, and the public. You will perform general security duties while upholding DSI and client-specific post instructions and safety standards. Essential Job Responsibilities Maintain a safe and secure environment through a visible armed presence, routine foot patrols, and operation of metal detection equipment in a busy, high-traffic location Observe, identify, report, and respond appropriately to safety hazards, incidents, and suspicious activity Enforce all client and DSI policies, procedures, and post instructions with professionalism and consistency Interact courteously and professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the general public Complete all required reports, logs, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner Participate in required training programs and comply with all DSI safety policies, procedures, and manuals Remain alert and capable of standing and walking for extended periods while performing assigned duties Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent Valid state driver's license (required) Reliable transportation and means of communication Basic to intermediate computer skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to conduct routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all weather conditions Must pass all required background checks, motor vehicle screening, and drug screening Certification Requirements Valid state driver's license Valid concealed carry permit Available Shifts First Shift Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Required Screenings Criminal Background Check Motor Vehicle Drug Screen $20.00 per hour #HUNTS DSI Security Services is a drug free employer complies with all applicable laws regarding affirmative action and equal opportunity in all its activities and programs and does not discriminate against anyone protected by law because of age, color, disability, national origin, race, religion, sex, handicap, or status as a veteran or disabled veteran.
