The technologist edits tracings and makes measurements, entering data into the computer. They must distinguish between normal and abnormal cardiac findings. The role includes performing cardiac sonographer duties to meet departmental needs. This includes recognizing arrhythmias and understanding the implications of specific cardiac and related diagnoses to obtain optimal studies. Personal scrubs of any color are required for dress code. Basic Life Support certification is also a requirement.
