Quality Technician - 3rd shift

Pay up to $21.15/hour Safety Driven Culture Great Benefits and Vacation Day 1 - medical and prescription, dental, vision insurance, 100% matching 401(k) plan, vacation, holidays, short-term and long-term disability, paid life insurance, tuition reimbursement, branded work attire, safety shoe program, prescription safety glasses and vehicle discounts Sign on Bonus - $1500 Shift commitment bonus $2 per hour (40 - perfect attendance) Opportunity to earn quarterly incentive bonus up to $750 Referral Bonus Weekly Pay ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Collect windshield samples • Cut windshields to create test samples • Prepare samples for specific tests • Conduct body glass fragmentation tests • Test water softener system for each windshield line • Conduct Distortion, Moisture, Pummel, Light Transmission, Boil testing, Ball Drop testing, Opacity testing analysis for all windshield parts • Conduct Robustness testing as needed or required • Conduct follow up testing as required for non-compliant product • Additional testing for the European and Asian Market parts KEY COMPETENCIES • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite (Word & Excel) • Ability to work with minimal supervision and limited direction • Ability to compile and compose reports for internal and external purposes • Ability to understand tempered glass and Windshield standards • Familiarity with reading & executing test specifications • Adept at summarizing data and revealing key trends • Detail oriented, able to maintain test logs/results/data • Ability and willingness to uphold the Carlex Values of Safety, Customer Focused, Teamwork, Excellence and Trust REQUIREMENTS Years of Experience: • 1+ years of related lab-based testing experience.
