Are you ready to join us? About the role As part of the Bureau of Technology, youll design, build, and scale AI-driven solutions to improve our Customer Care. Youll join a new team ,Care AI (a mix of data scientists and backend engineers) focused on enhancing the experience of our Customers in need of help with faster and more precise resolutions. Your focus will be in implementing and scaling our Care AI agents and improving AI powered features aimed at increasing agents efficiency, detecting customer sentiment and speeding up resolutions. What Youll do Build scalable infrastructure and APIs to integrate AI capabilities (LLMs, ML models) into Back Market's customer care systems Implement AI agent actions, MCP server connections, and data pipelines enabling the Care AI Agent to serve customers 24/7 Develop robust monitoring, evaluation, and safety guardrails for AI features handling sensitive customer interactions Collaborate with data scientists to productionize ML models and optimize performance at scale Strong backend engineering skills with keen interest in AI/ML technologies and willingness to learn about LLM integration patterns Passionate about leveraging AI to improve customer experiences and eager to work at the intersection of engineering and data science Our technical environment Application: Python - FastAPI / SQLAlchemy/ Celery/ Golang/ Django (being phased out) - Data: PostgreSQL/ Redis/ Kafka/ RabbitMQ/ BigQuery Infrastructure: GCP / Kubernetes (GKE) / Docker/ Datadog/ ArgoCD/ CircleCI / Github Bonus Points Familarity of machine learning and statistical concepts Recruitment process Call with a Senior Tech TA, 45 min Coding and Testing module, 60 min System Design and API module, 45 min Data module, 45 min Technical Leadership, 45 min Meet your manager, 30 min Back Market Values fit interview - 45 min
