Assembler - Phoenix, AZ - 1st Shift - $17.50/Hour

Assembler Position Overview And Purpose The Assembler is responsible for performing a variety of routine tasks to support assembly and production of metal products. The Assembler may work in a variety of workstations including but not limited to: assembly line/operator, packing, glue machine operator, poly handler/operator, channel forming installer, labeler, and ring/channel welder. This is a mechanical position under the supervision of the Production Supervisor. Essential Functions: Perform various assembly or sub-assembly operations as assigned by the Leadership Team. Works on assembly line where tasks and job duties may vary (see above workstations). Follow and build job orders according to customer specifications on the daily travelers. May require retrieval of door parts necessary for completion of finished product. Understand and identify all components that comprise the finished product as described. Report production and quality data as dictated in daily travelers to supervisor. Always maintain an organized work environment, may require inspection by the Leadership Team. Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team to support company goals. Based on proficiency may be required to train on Assembly workstations. Physical Demands And Work Environment: Operate simple hand or power tools to modify required materials. Handle materials such as metal, poly, glue, etc. Must be able to lift to 75 pounds repetitively. Must be able to push and/or pull carts up to 75 pounds. Must use and be able to work with required PPE. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching. The noise level of the warehouse is moderate to loud. Based on proficiency could work under heavy to limited supervision. Uphold all safety standards applicable to the responsibilities above. Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
