Warehouse Supervisor: Mid-Shift (12:30p - 9:30p) 197 San Antonio Rector - San Antonio, TX 78216 Overview The individuals selected for this position are responsible for monitoring and supervising a team's efficiency and ensuring company goals and objectives are being met by each employee. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Knows and actively demonstrates daily our Company Mission Statement and our Core Values Monitor employee productivity and performance expectations Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments Ability to learn and perform subordinates job descriptions including but not limited to warehouse associates, driver, and cleaning crew Maintain and teach organization skills Responsible for inventory integrity Responsible for vehicle maintenance Responsible for on-time customer order delivery Ensure product replenishment for daily volume needs Partner with upper management for employee coaching and training Create a weekly or by-weekly schedule for employees Monitor and supervise employee's attendance and punctuality Efficiently carrying out all the directives given by Management Team Availability to travel to local and state facilities as required Ensures a clean workplace Working in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA Possess time management skills and be able to prioritizes tasks and meet the demands of the day Attendance and Timeliness is required Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above satisfactorily. State law says you must be over the age of 21 to work at Spec's. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education or Experience: We prefer that you have 1-2 years of supervisor or relevant role, excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments. We would like you to have a high school diploma or a general education degree (GED), but sometimes, experience is the best education. Language Skills: We need you to be able to read, comprehend and write simple instructions or memos. You must be able to talk and communicate with coworkers and guests. Computer Skills: You should also be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. We expect you to be able to create scheduling and delegating tasks, plan meetings, share and configuring calendars electronically. Mathematical Skills: You need the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals without the aid of calculator or abacus. Counting is a major plus as your count becomes inventory. Attitudinal and Personal Skills: You need to be responsible, reliable and committed to providing excellent service. Patience, friendliness and an outgoing personality are needed for success. You need to be a selfstarter with a strong work ethic who completes job assignments in a timely fashion and then looks for the next task. You should be proficient in conflict resolution, leadership, time and priority management and have reliable high integrity. We expect you to have the ability to work as part of the team, have a professional appearance and attitude. You should have the ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Hours: Full Time is typically 40 hours per week. Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday. We schedule for the needs of our business. Working outside of your scheduled time without Store Manager approval is prohibited. You cannot make up hours without your manager's prior approval. Reasoning Ability: You need the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. You must be able to use an industrial machine to move pallets up to 2400 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment and Environmental Conditions: We provide a fun and positive environment in for our staff. You will be exposed to outside weather conditions while you're working in our warehouses. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
